My Story

Where are you?



I look much closer at the sky now,
There has to be a sign.
There's no way you've left us
alone to grieve and pine
Maybe the stars will have a clue
Where the darkness has taken you

I listen more intently
to the singing birds
in hopes that they will chime
the words
I need in this
dark and lonely time.

I smell the tulips just like so
the scent can reach my soul
and summon you to take a hold
and fill this dreary hole

I'll touch the lives of others
perhaps in one I'll see
your kind smile or gracious heart
and I'll know it's not in vain
And the light you shown in this world
will shine for me again.
